CLARKSVILLE, Tenn (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville Police responded to a 911 call on July 27 around 3:40 a.m. concerning a man possibly stealing a green Ford Mustang from the parking lot at 750 N Riverside Dr. Keys had been left inside the vehicle, and a man got inside and drove away.

Officer Deering stopped the vehicle on Kraft Street shortly after receiving the report. He spoke to the driver, Alvin Goss, who told him that the vehicle was unlocked with keys left inside, and that he decided to move it. Goss was not the owner of the vehicle and did not know the registered owner.

While officers attempted to contact the owner, Goss attempted to run and was quickly apprehended. Goss was found to have a revoked license and drug paraphernalia in his possession.

Goss was booked into Montgomery County Jail and charged with theft of an auto, unlawful drug paraphernalia, driving on a revoked license (3rd offense) and evading arrest. Bond was set at $40,000.
