CLARKSVILLE TN, (CLARKSVILE NOW) – A Clarksville man has been charged with vehicular homicide in a 2022 wreck that prosecutors say was DUI-related.

On April 9, 2022, shortly before 7 a.m., there was a wreck on Tiny Town Road between Needmore Road and Clearwater Drive, according to Clarksville Police.

The crash killed Roberto Barraza, 29, who had a son and two daughters, according to his obituary.

The April term of the Montgomery County Grand Jury indicted Roberson Dearius Shantrail, 28, and he was arrested May 10. He’s charged with “unlawfully and recklessly” causing Barraza’s death “by the operation of an automobile while intoxicated.”

Clarksville Police declined to provide details about the wreck.

Shantrail was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on a charge of vehicular homicide (DUI).
