HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – UPDATE: Joel Catlett, 29, has been arrested in connection with a shooting that injured four people in Hopkinsville May 7.

Witnesses identified Catlett as the shooter. He was charged with three counts of first degree assault and first degree wanton endangerment.

ORIGINAL REPORT: Police responded to a shooting in the area of East 2nd Street and South Vine Street, as well as the area of East 4th Street and Campbell Street Wednesday shortly after 6:30 pm.

According to a news release, police discovered there were four shooting victims who were all taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment.

29-year-old Robert Earl Jackson Jr. aka “Meaty Bone”, of Hopkinsville, was shot once in the leg and was treated at Jennie Stuart Medical Center.

23-year-old Darryl Lee Dobson, of Hopkinsville, was shot once in the leg and was treated at Jennie Stuart Medical Center.

30-year-old Teron Renell Mayes aka “Lil Ron”, of Hopkinsville, was shot once in the leg and was treated at Jennie Stuart Medical Center.

25-year-old Lakisha Andrea McMillian, of Hopkinsville, was shot once in the hip and was treated at Jennie Stuart Medical Center and then transferred to Vanderbilt Medical Center.

UPDATE: Hopkinsville Police have made one arrest in connection with the shooting and another arrest on drug related charges. One of the shooting victims, Darryl Dobson, was arrested for 1st Degree Assault and another shooting victim, Robert Earl Jackson, was arrested on drug related charges.

The shooting remains under investigation.
