CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A man was arrested for vehicular assault after reportedly drinking and crashing his vehicle Monday in Clarksville.
An arrest warrant states that Kyle Berg, 24, was speeding on Fairview Ln. around 12:30 a.m. when he ran off the road and hit a mailbox, utility pole, and another mailbox before colliding with a parked truck. The force of the collision drove the truck into a parked car in an adjacent driveway.
The truck also hit another small truck, which pushed that vehicle into a boat and a trailer. Debris from the crash was scattered in the roadway and across three separate yards.
Berg’s passenger sustained spinal and internal injuries and was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center. The warrant did not state whether Berg was injured.
The reporting officer said Berg appeared intoxicated and he admitted to drinking earlier in the evening while watching football. Results of the blood test are pending.
Berg was charged with vehicular assault and his bond was set at $25,000.
