SPRING HILL, Tenn. – A Spring Hill man who was arrested last month for impersonating a police officer was arrested again this week after McDonald’s employees told police he had been posing as an officer at the restaurant to get free food.
WKRN News 2 reports that the employees at the Spring Hill McDonald’s recognized Richard Lapenna after seeing his mug shot.
They told police Lapenna came to the restaurant throughout the day multiple times a week demanding free food because he was a cop. He allegedly told one employee he was working undercover for TBI.
Lapenna was arrested Wednesday and booked into the Maury County jail on $30,000 bond. Police found a black tactical vest with ballistic armor, two SpringField X.D. pistols, a Mossberg tactical shotgun, ammunition for all the weapons, two sets of handcuffs, six pairs of flex cuffs and night vision goggles inside his van.
