CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Police had a barricade set up for about four hours on Lindsey Drive in the Ringgold area of Clarksville Tuesday night, but the situation ended peacefully.
At about 7:45 p.m., officers with the special operations unit tried to make a traffic stop on a couple with warrants, according to police spokesman Scott Beaubien.
A woman was taken into custody, but the man fled into his home and barricaded himself along with his 4-week-old child.
Lindsey Drive was closed between Janet Way Drive and Sonja Drive for about four hours, and residents were asked to remain inside.
By about midnight, negotiators were able to persuade the man to come out peacefully. No one was injured, and the child was released to family members, Beaubien said.
No further information was released.
