CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A local man was arrested on June 20 after he was charged with two counts of child rape.
According to the arrest warrant, at 4:39 p.m. on June 15, Sgt. Tina Slaven responded to a reported case of child sexual abuse at 141 Lynwood Circle. When she arrived, Slaven spoke with Joshua Bronson, 30, who had locked himself in a closet, refusing to come out.
Slaven convinced Bronson to talk with her and DCS, telling him that he would be able to give his account of the abuse allegations from the DCS referral which stated that he had initiated sex acts with the child while her mother was at work. Bronson agreed to have no contact with the child and indicated that he did not wish to speak about the matter at that time.
During an investigation at a Loupin Drive apartment, the victim said that Bronson had forced her to engage in sex acts within the time frame of May 2012 through May 2013.
Bronson later called Sgt. Slaven, asking her to come to Vanderbilt Psychiatric, where he was being housed. When Slaven arrived, Bronson admitted to the sexual acts.
Bronson was booked into the Montgomery County Jail with a bond set at $500,000.
