CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A Clarksville man captured surveillance video of a DirecTV employee who allegedly stole prescription pain medication while in his home.
WKRN News 2 reports that the victim, Jeff Fitts, said the tech was in his home July 28 and was aware all rooms of the house were under surveillance. A video shows the man taking a bottle of pills from the top of the refrigerator and dumping them in his uniform pocket.
Fitts said he confronted the worker after noticing the pills were missing, but the worker denied taking them, so Fitts reviewed the footage.
DirecTV contacted Fitts to let him know the employee had been terminated, but did not give Fitts the discount he requested. He said he plans to prosecute the man. Charges have not yet been filed.
The incident is under investigation by the Clarksville Police Department.
