NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A man has been arrested after allegedly threatening to blow up a runway at Nashville International Airport.
WKRN News 2 reports that 25-year-old Zachary Smith of Antioch called 911 Sunday and made the threat.
Airport security searched the area for suspicious activity and investigators traced Smith’s call to his home in Antioch.
Smith denied the allegations but investigators found deleted calls on his phone as well as multiple calls to the Russian Embassy in Washington, D.C.
Smith was charged with filing a false report and tampering with evidence.
