Menswear – Tailored menswear looks this fall are great in classic patterns like hounds tooth and plaid. Mix tailored pants, structured jackets, and sleek printed collar button-downs with heels and statement jewelry to keep it feminine. You can find these tailored looks at stores like Ann Taylor, White House Black Market, or your local thrift shop.

Midi Heel – The midi heel is back from the 90s. It’s here to bridge the gap between flat pumps and crazy six inch heels. Midi heels are 3 inches or less and look great in different colors and textures. Make them even hotter by choosing a strappy sling back or t-strap pair. Cobalt Blue – Earlier this year we all heard that Emerald was 2013’s color of the year, but it looks like cobalt blue has won the honors of the color of the fall. Cobalt blue is flattering on anyone and makes a statement by itself or paired with black. Look for cobalt blue in a satchel bag or a long sleeve sheath to pull another must have fall look into the mix.

Make a Statement – Make a statement with coats, necklaces, and earrings. For the last few seasons statement necklaces have been everywhere. Now that you already have them in your wardrobe, experts suggest taking it to the next level by doubling them up to add more detail and interest to your outfit. Statement earrings are big this fall as well, and would be perfect for a casual outfit to give it an unexpected pop. However, make sure you don’t mix statement earrings and necklaces to avoid overkill. Lastly, statement coats are great when it’s chilly outside. Throw on a coat with interesting colors and patterns to turn heads. Leopard print, faux quilted leather, deep jewel tones, and zippers on coats are sure to make your fall outfit. Places like ASOS, Banana Republic, and Forever 21 offer a variety of these items at all price points.
