Lynda Joyce Conner, 74, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Lynda was born on November 30, 1939 in Marshall County, TN to the late Cecil T. Wilkerson and Margaret E. Stacey Wilkerson.
Memorial service will be held at a.m. on Monday, November 10, 2014 at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Willie Lyle and Rev. Ken Wallace officiating. Burial to follow in Sango Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Sunday, November 9, 2014 and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Monday at the funeral home.
Lynda was a retired school teacher with the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System. Lynda was also the recipient of the Teacher of the Year Award for the State of Tennessee in 1992. She was a member of the Retired Teacher’s Association, National Education Association, and Sango United Methodist Church.
Lynda is survived by her husband, Lawrence Conner of Clarksville, TN; son, Larry (Melynda) Conner of Clarksville, TN; brother, Preston L. (Jane) Wilkerson of Murfreesboro, TN; brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Corky and Betty Carobene; three grandchildren, Susan Conner, Denver Hall, and Lia Hall; three nephews, Chad Carobene, David Wilkerson, and Jeff Wilkerson; and niece, Angela Carobene.
