Luree “Mammie” Halliday, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024, at the age of 92.
Luree was born in Stewart County, TN, September 18, 1931, to the late Lawrence Austin and Viola Burkhart. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Halliday, a son, Danny Halliday, brothers, Doug Austin and Jimmy Austin, and sister, Lorrene Moody.
Luree is survived by her son, Larry (Pam) Halliday, and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews she greatly enjoyed, and they called her their “Mammie”. One of her true joys in life was children.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Neal Tarpley Parchman Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Austin Cemetery in Indian Mound, TN. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Young, David Austin, Ben Peters, Logan Peters, Brandon McCurdy, and Mike Akins.
