Lucretia Gaskin-McLaurin, 63, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at Gateway Medical Center.

Lucretia was born on November 15, 1952, in Buffalo, NY to the late McKinley Gaskin, Sr. and Bernice Merritt Gaskin. She was also preceded in death by her brother, McKinley Gaskin, Jr. and sister, Carolyn Gaskin.

Lucretia was a school bus driver with the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System. She loved the children and was affectionately known by her students as Mrs. Lu.

Lucretia is survived by two sisters, Joy Gaskin and Nancy Simmons of Buffalo, NY; three nephews; one niece; six great-nephews; one great-niece; and two great great-nephews.

Lucretia’s family would like to give a special thank you to Linda and Ira Veasy for their greatly appreciated assistance to the family during the loss of Lucretia. The family would like to thank the employees of the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System’s Transportation Department for their love and friendship that they gave to Lucretia. The family would also like to thank the staff of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home for the care that they gave during this most difficult time.
