Funeral service for Lucille Black, age 93 of Clarksville, will be Wednesday, July 29 ,2015 at 11 a.m. at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Jerry Jeter will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 and from 9 a.m. to the hour of the service Wednesday.
Lucille passed away on July 25 ,2015 at Clarksville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Inc. She was born on September 9, 1921 in Cheatham County, TN to Cage and Tula Hewitt. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; Carl Black, granddaughter; Tracy Phillips, brothers; Russell and Ercil Hewitt, sister; Mildred Watts. She is survived by her son; Donnie (Michelle) Black; daughter; Bonnie (Chuck) Heflin, both of Clarksville. 4 grandchildren; Larry Black, Jamie Phillips, Trisha Baker, Karlee Heflin. 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
