CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Someone from Clarksville won $1 million in the Powerball drawing Wednesday night.
The player, who hasn’t been named, matched five white ball numbers in the Aug. 2 drawing, according to Tennessee Lottery officials. The ticket was purchased at BP Shop, 2088 Wilma Rudolph Blvd.
This is the 380th ticket worth $1 million or more sold since the Tennessee Education Lottery began selling tickets in 2004, according to a news release.
But there’s a bigger jackpot coming: Mega Millions is up to $1.25 billion – that’s with a B – for Friday night’s drawing.
