Lori Ann Summers, age 55, of Clarksville, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at Tennova Healthcare.
Lori was born November 28, 1961, in Flint, MI, to the late Dewey Whitt and Carole Adams Whitt. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Jeanette Marcum.
Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, December 28, at 10:30 AM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Rev. Hugh Burger officiating. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, in Hopkinsville. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 27, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, and Wednesday, December 28, from 9:30 AM until the time of service, at the funeral home.
Lori is survived by her husband, Joseph Summers; stepmother, Wanda Whitt of Sparta, TN; two daughters, Christina Summers of Clarksville; Melody (Brian) Pulley of Buchanan, TN; six brothers, Joseph (Sue) Whitt of Mesick, MI, Michael (Kim) Whitt of Lebanon, TN, Jeff (Marie) Whitt of Davison, MI, Matt (Denise) Whitt of Fenton, MI, Patrick (Tasha) Whitt of Jacksboro, TN, and Brian Whitt of Clarkston, MI; one sister, Michele (Jerry) Hall of Sparta, TN; and granddaughter, Krystal Switzer.
Lori was active with both the Special Olympics, as well as Clarksville and Ft. Campbell youth bowling.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tennessee Special Olympics, for Area 12 – Clarksville, 461 Craighead Street, Nashville, TN 37204.
