Lorene Verda Barnes, age 91, of Clarksville, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Dogwood Bend Assisted Living.
Lorene was born August 10, 1923 in Stewart County, TN, to the late John D. Beasley and Ruth Simpson Beasley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe P. Barnes.
Lorene is survived by son, Virgil Barnes (Lori), of Jamestown, OH; niece, Wanda Graffeo (Mark), of Fayetteville, GA; and two grandchildren, Elise Sweeney (Kyle) of Arlington, VA, and Sean Barnes, of Jamestown, OH.
Memorial service will be at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29 at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Rev. Jacqueline Martin officiating. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial of Lorene’s cremains will take place at a later date in McIntosh Cemetery.
