Lon Cleveland Keeler, of Southside, TN, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at the age of 88.
Lon was born in Celina, TN, on January 5, 1936, to the late James Keeler and Della Zornes. In addition to his parents, Lon is preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Lon is survived by his wife of 68 years, Maybell; son, Michael Keeler; daughters, Gwinda Mixon (Tracy Skeen), Gidgett Wood, and Tonia Neely; grandchildren, Delaina Roney (Jack Roney), Devin Keeler, Caleb Wood, Chloe Sawyer (Hunter Sawyer), Jessica Martinez, Shawn Delle (Kerri Delle), and Corey Mixon (Alayna Mixon); and great-grandchildren, Brylee Roney, Lucas Mixon, Lauren Mixon, Serenity Delle, Kassidy Delle, Adalyn Delle, and Michael Martinez.
Lon was a member of Millers Chapel Church; he sang in the gospel band- the Happy Pilgrims.
Lon loved the Lord and could quote scripture and apply it to any life scenario. He stood strong in his faith and shared it with everyone he could.
Lon loved woodworking and whittling, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, and tending to his chickens. Most of all, Lon loved his family. He loved having his children and grandchildren all together. He always looked forward to family gatherings because that meant quality time with loved ones and his wife’s good cooking. He was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.
The family will hold a private Celebration of Life in his honor.
