A Celebration of Life service for Lola Pearl Emerson, age 97, of Clarksville, TN, will be Sunday, May 5, 2024, at Sykes Funeral Home at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until the time of service. Burial will take place on Monday, May 6, 2024, at 1:30 PM (EST) at Mill Springs Battlefield National Cemetery in Nancy, KY where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Boyd Emerson.
Lola was born on September 7, 1926, to George and Elle Mae Fox. She passed away on May 1, 2024. Lola’s greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was a long-time member of Bible Baptist Church where she had been a member since 1968. Lola enjoyed reading her Bible, singing, playing guitar, and listening to gospel and bluegrass music.
In addition to her husband and parents, Lola is preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda K. Radford; siblings: Lawrence Fox, Ida Dalton, Olive Harris, Leonard Fox, Velna Deal, and Sylvia Holmes; and granddaughter, Emily May Emerson. She is survived by her children: Donna Emerson-Johnston, Gregory (Sharon) Emerson, Jay (Mitzi) Emerson, and Scott (Linda) Emerson; son-in-law, Al Radford; grandchildren: Jonathan Radford, Martha Parker, Andrew Johnston, Olivia Emerson, Zachary Emerson, and Christian Emerson; and great-grandchildren: Sonny Radford, Urijah Emerson, and Ledger Emerson.
