CLARKSVILLE, Tenn (CLARKSVILLENOW) – With Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools closed until May 3, many local students are beginning looking for ways to stay busy as the period of social distancing continues. In an effort to bring a little fun to neighborhood kids, business owner and costumer Cechia Cepry has been walking around her community as popular cartoon characters.

Cepry formerly ran a business bringing characters to children’s birthdays, which she put on hold after opening a bakery in the Fort Campbell area. Last week, put on a Buzz Lightyear outfit to entertain her nephew, and neighborhood kids waved from their windows.

She has since gone on walks as favorite characters from cartoons, games and comic books while kids wave and take pictures from the front door.

Cepry has 12 costumes all together. Today, she said Elmo would be making appearance in the neighborhood.

Other neighborhoods have reached out to Cepry about making appearances. She said that she would be considering options for widening the range of her walks.

Cepry further stressed the need to maintain social distancing when she visits. Families are asked to remain in their yards. Physical contact is not allowed at this time, but pictures are certainly welcome!
