WASHINGTON, DC – Screaming Eagle Honor Flight announces its first flight of the year will take place May 17, 2015.
On board this flight will be 25 World War II and Korean War Veterans who will get to see the monuments built in their honor in Washington DC at no charge to them, thanks to donations.
Included are Clarksville Korean and Vietnam War Veteran’s former Mayor Col Ted Crozier and former City Councilman Command Sergeant Major Sidney Brown.
While in Washington DC the Veterans will visit the World War II Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, the Vietnam War Memorial, the Air Force Memorial, the Marine Memorial, and the Arlington National Cemetery to watch the changing of the Guards at the Tomb of the Unknowns.
Future flights are tentatively scheduled for July 25, 2015 and September 27, 2015.
