CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW)- Clarksville is patriotic military town and local businesses and organizations will be hosting several events to honor active-duty and retired service members during the weekend leading up to Veterans Day and on Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11.
The Clarksville-Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade will take place on Saturday, Nov. 9, with pre-parade ceremonies set for 9 a.m. in front of the historic courthouse (south side) on Third Street in downtown Clarksville. This year’s Veterans Day parade theme is “Salute to Veterans Service Organizations.”

The 27th Annual Veterans Day breakfast will be held on Saturday, November 9th, at Austin Peay State University’s Morgan University Center. Breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m. The cost is $25 per guest. The dress code is business casual for the military and civilians.
The Quick Silver Annual Fall Social Event honoring veterans will be held on November 9, 2019, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Kleeman Recreation Center to honor military veterans and families.
The Distinguished Steppers Unlimited (DSU) in partnership with Clarksville Parks & Recreation will honor active-duty members, veterans, family, friends and community members. A free dinner will be provided as well as a motivational program. The event is for adults 18 years old or older and is a free seated meal and open to the public. Tickets are required and are available at the Kleeman Recreation Center, 166 Cunningham Lane, Clarksville, Tennessee 37042. - Applebee’s will offer veterans and active-duty military a free meal from a limited menu at participating Applebee’s on November 11. Dine-in only. The restaurant is located at 3006 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.
- Buffalo Wild Wings Free will be providing veterans and active-duty military personnel one (1) small order of traditional or boneless wings and a side of fries for free. The special runs on Veterans Day, Monday, November 11, 2019, from 4:00 pm-7:00 p.m. They are located at 110 S. Hampton Pl. in Clarksville.
- Chili’s will offer veterans and active-duty military service members a free meal from a special menu featuring seven entrees. Dine-in only. Chili’s is located at 2127 Lowes Drive in Clarksville.
- Cracker Barrel Old Country Store will be honoring military veterans with a free slice of double chocolate fudge Coca-Cola cake or a Pumpkin Pie Latte available iced or hot, at all 660 Cracker Barrel locations nationwide on Veterans Day. They are located at 200 Cracker Barrel Drive in Clarksville.
- Golden Corral on Veterans Day Monday, November 11th, 2019 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Golden Corral will offer a free sit-in “thank you” dinner for military veterans, retirees, and active-duty members. The restaurant is located at 2811 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.
- Huddle Houses welcomes all active duty, retired, and veteran military members to Huddle House from November 8th to November 11th for a FREE Sweet Cake plate of any variety. Simply ask for the Sweet Cake plate, and show a current military ID. Huddle House is located at 590 Fire Station Rd Suite H.

- Mission BBQ will offer veterans free sandwiches and cake on November 11, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. All Mission BBQ locations will participate in the special day’s event including the Clarksville location at 2644 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.
- O’Charley’s is offering all active and retired military service members a free meal from O’Charley’s “Veterans Thank You Menu” all day on Nov. 11, by showing their military IDs. O’Charleys has two Clarksville locations: 674 N. Riverside Drive and 2792 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.
- Outback is offering a Heroes Discount: all servicemen and women, police officers, firefighters and all first responders with 20% off their entire check form 11/8-11/11 with valid ID. Gateway Tire & Service Center will honor Veterans Day with free oil changes for veterans, active military & bereaved partners.
