CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A Clarksville-based robotics club, M.A.R.I.O. (Montgomery Area Robotics Intelligent Operations), is seeking interested middle school and high school students to build a robot for the BEST competition in October.
Mentors are also needed, and are in short supply.
Numerous skills will be used, including engineering, programming, documentation, presentation, and booth construction.
During the competition, a box of building materials will be provided, and the team will create whatever else is needed by hand or with the help of 3D printers, CNC machines, or other technology.
The kickoff date is September 19 and the competition is October 31.
The group will meet Thursday, Aug. 6 at 6:30 p.m. at China King Buffet (Lowes Dr.) to discuss plans.
