CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – As a result of the efforts of one of their agents, Keller Williams Realty located at 2271 Wilma Rudolph Blvd. is now taking donations from the community to help tornado victims in Louisville, Mississippi.

Real Estate Agent Rhett Barnes is heading up the collection, asking for donations to fill his personal trailer with nonperishable food, clothing, and other household items. Baby bottles and blankets are some of the items most needed.

Monetary donations will also be accepted to cover the $450 cost of transporting the trailer to Louisville, and for additional items such as bottled water.

The trailer will be located at the Wilma Rudolph Blvd. office on weekdays from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., and Barnes will also have it at the 7th Annual F.U.E.L. Block Party and Fundraiser hosted by the Clarksville Association of Realtors on May 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 115 Center Point Drive.

Barnes, who has family in Louisville, said that the idea to collect donations came from his military friends who are from that town as well. Barnes started talking to his Facebook friends about the collection, and the concept grew from that point. He said that he will be taking donations “until the trailer is full.”
