CLARKSVILLE, Tenn (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Possumstock, Clarksville’s own local music festival returns to the Sango area on August 30 for a weekend of camping, craft vendors and live music.
Possumstock began in 2013 in the Palmyra area on Possum Hollow Road, which is where the name originates. While the event includes some touring acts, Possumstock primarily features artists from Clarksville. Performers include popular local acts like Whiskey Angel, The Rumps, Rufus Dawkins and Under Clouds and Surveillance.
“Once a year, everyone puts things aside to go get lost in the music,” says Cody Parson, a local musician and one of the event’s founders.
Guests are welcome to bring outside food and drink, though no glass containers will be permitted on festival grounds. Food vendors will also be available.
Camping will be available for this outdoor event, and is included with ticket purchases. spaces are first come, first served.
Possumstock will be held at 1989 Oak Plains Road. The event begins at noon on Friday, August 30 and continues through September 1. Guests are encouraged to arrive before the music starts to get good parking. Tickets can be purchased online for $40 or at the gate for $50. This is an 18 and up event
