CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. — United Way of the Greater Clarksville Region and several local eateries will partner once again for the 2nd Annual United We Dine fundraising event on Thursday, March 5, 2015. Each participating restaurant will donate a portion of the day’s proceeds to United Way to help support the work of local partner agencies. The community is encouraged to dine at any of the following locations: Bojangles’ Famous Chicken ‘n Biscuits, Cloud 9, Dairy Queen, Edward’s Steakhouse, The Gingham Café, Harbor Café, Hops Road on Strawberry Alley, Miss Lucille’s Café, Taco Del Mar, Which Wich Superior Sandwiches and Wicked Good Sandwiches.

United We Dine is a unique event that provides local restaurants with the opportunity to open their establishments for a more community-centered experience and gives patrons an easy way to help those in need. Local Dairy Queen co-owner Allan Groves explains, “We participate because it provides our business an opportunity to be involved with the United Way campaign. As a rule, restaurant businesses like ours are not able to do employee pledge campaigns that are financially successful, so this gives our business and employees a way to be involved.”

“We hope guests will embrace that this is more than just a meal; together we’re serving hope to those struggling in our community”, says Alayna Stevens, United Way Campaign Director. This year, those interested in participating will have several more locations and menus from which to choose, spanning North to South Clarksville, St. Bethlehem, Riverside Drive and the downtown area. A detailed list of addresses and hours of operation for each restaurant can be found at www.liveunitedclarksville.org.

United Way of the Greater Clarksville Region mobilizes partners in Montgomery, Houston and Stewart Counties in a united effort to identify and respond to critical community needs.
