CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Pink Empowerment tree trimming and reception, hosted by Distinguished Steppers Unlimited, will be 1 p.m. till 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2015.

The Distinguished Steppers Unlimited (DSU) of Clarksville will produce a visual reminder of the importance of breast health and early breast cancer detection and treatment.

As part of the group’s collective effort to assemble and trim a tree in pink at the Kleeman Community Center, DSU will expand its reach and is hosting a “Pink Empowerment” event for the community. This event will be a source of support, strength and encouragement for men and women who share a concern in the fight against breast cancer and all forms of cancer.

The Pink Empowerment event will be an opportunity for the DSU Relay for Life Team to kick-start its campaign effort. The newly produced “Hope Lives Here” campaign signs available for patrons with a $20.00 donation payable to the American Cancer Society.

The “Tree in Pink for Breast Cancer” will be placed in a visible space in the Kleeman Community Center where community members are encouraged to stop by and see it. The community is welcome to add pink ornaments to the tree.
