CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – New Providence United Methodist Church opened a warming shelter Sunday at 4 p.m. that will remain open through Tuesday at 8 a.m.
The shelter will provide a warm, safe place for the homeless to stay as temperatures continue to drop as low as 13 degrees.
Volunteers are needed to help, and each shift lasts four hours. To sign up, call Wanda Wheeler at 931-338-0868 or Bill Wheeler at 931-338-3462.
