Local brewing and laughs were served up when the Kings Bluff Brewery crew stopped in for another round of radio.
The proclaimed Clarksville “Beer Lord,” Dustyn Brewer, and General Manager Jessica Atkinson, aka the head brewer, visited Samantha Knight, Z97.5 afternoon host, for the “I’d Tap That” radio series, which explores the local craft beer brewery scene.
Brewer brought some of their craft beer for the Z97.5 crew to experience as they discussed the many creative local and regional flavors you can experience at the brewery this season.
Everything from ciders and sours from Nashville breweries, to home-made root beer and delicious food truck food can be found at Kings Bluff Brewery.
And they never disappoint when naming their craft beer, with winks to pop culture, salutes to local landmarks and businesses and tongue-in-cheek titles that make their customers laugh.
Their new seasonal flavors include Sugar Cookie Blonde, a light, great-smelling small tester batch created using a pound of sugar cookies in the mash, and the Lola Coffee Kölsch, brewed with Lola Coffee’s Tarrazu Honey white coffee.
Their Ginger Snaps Back Brown Ale (inspired by Shrek), The Mando Ale (Mandalorian), Custom’s House Chrimmas Ale (yes Chrimmas) which is a cranberry and rosemary ale, and the West Coast inspired new flavored IPA “Kanye” (because Tennesseans voted for Kanye.)
They poured up a local favorite and best-seller, “Oats, I Did it Again,” inspired by the Brittany Spears song “Oops, I Did it Again,” and the ever-so-popular “Thicc B*tch,” a milkshake IPA made with lots of hops and milk sugar, with a tropical flavor catalog.
Kings Bluff is known for their fun house rules.
Dogs are welcome, as long as they are leashed (and there’s no judgement if you want to leash the kids too, they joked). They also offer homemade dog treats.
If you aren’t a huge beer drinker, they serve non-alcoholic options, like their house-made root beer, for the whole family!
With outside heaters and fire pits, Kings Bluff will continue hosting some of their outside events this season, including live music, food trucks such as Linell’s Taco Truck, available daily on weekdays, and Hattie B’s, Cousin’s Main Lobster, Pasta Galifi and more on the weekends.
For gift giving, they sell fun merch such as hoodies, hats, stickers and of course beer.
