CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. — (CLARKSVILLENOW) With the theme of Farm to Fork, the local 4-H Outdoor Cookery team represented Montgomery County well over the weekend as they competed in the state 4-H judging day held in Knoxville, TN. The team consisted of four Northwest High School students: Lydia Johnson, Olivia Randall, Wylie Randall, and Garrett Ross.

The purpose of this project is to promote the use of meat produces in the diet by teaching the art and science of safely preparing beef, lamb, pork and poultry in an outdoor setting. The team won second place earlier this year in the regional competition, with Wylie Randall receiving the overall high score in the poultry division.
