CLARKSVILLE, Tenn (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Loaves and Fishes invites the public to take part in their annual Louisiana Saturday Night fundraising event this Saturday, October 12, from 4-8 p.m. at the Downtown Commons.
The event will feature live music, craft vendors and a Gumbo Cook Off.
This year’s band, Roux du Bayou Band, will perform an array of zydeco, Cajun, creole and other oldies classics. The music starts at 4 p.m. and will continue throughout the event.
Food will be purchasable throughout the event from local Americajun restaurant Roux and will include andouille sausage, jambalaya and red beans and rice.
Guests will be invited to tasted entries in the Gumbo Cook Off. The winner will be chosen at 7:30. There will be a Judge’s Favorite and People’s Choice Award.
Tickets for Louisiana Saturday Night are $10 and can be purchased through Eventbrite. All proceeds will go to supporting Loaves and Fishes’ charitable works within the community.
