Lizzie D. Baggett, 101, of Clarksville, TN, died Monday, November 18, 2013 at Whitehaven Nursing Home in Adams, TN. She was born March 31, 1912 in Montgomery County, TN to the late John Benjamin Davis and Jessie Eatherly Davis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bob Baggett; two brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Steve Louder officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. and Tuesday, November 26, 2013 from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Lizzie was a retired switchboard operator with Bell South Telephone Company. She was a dedicated member for 85 years at Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She was also a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Sydney (Jack) Bumpus of Clarksville, TN; two grandchildren, Tracey Marston of Las Vegas, NV and Renee (David) Hall of Jacksonville, FL; three great grandchildren, Ryan Hall, Scott Hall, and Tiffany Marston.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
