CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Wilma Rudolph Event Center at Liberty Park took on a distinctly German feel Saturday as Bikers Who Care and Camp Rainbow celebrated Clarksville Oktoberfest.

The event featured traditional German food, along with a Bavarian Bier Garden with a variety of German brews, along with music and dancing from Polkawagen, an authentic polka band.

There was also a kid’s zone with inflatables, train rides, carnival games, face painting, pumpkin painting, and everyone was encouraged to dress up in their favorite German/Bavarian costumes.

Chuck Bailey, event coordinator for BWC said all proceeds from the event will go to the children’s charities sponsored by Bikes Who Care, including Camp Rainbow.

Volunteers from Camp Rainbow took care of cooking and providing food for Oktoberfest, which of course included schnitzel and brats. Camp Director Jereme Miner said it was good to be out helping BWC and working together because the organization felt like family.
