CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Montgomery County Commissioner Lisa Prichard has announced she is running for re-election in District 12.

Prichard will be a candidate for the Democratic nomination to the commission seat on the May 3 primary ballot.

She said she is thankful for a productive term serving the residents of the district, which includes the Jack Miller Boulevard/Tobacco Road area of north Clarksville and the neighborhoods surrounding West Creek High School.

“Clarksville and Montgomery County are growing, and by working together we are ensuring we improve our quality of life and expand our employment opportunities as we grow,” Prichard said.

“As your commissioner I have sought to make the voices of our neighborhoods and working people heard while discussing county business, though there is more work to be done in making our community more equitable and prosperous. To continue this important work, I am seeking another term in August 2022. We have faced many steep challenges together, and I am confident we can build back better as we lead Clarksville into the future.”

She said her top priority is the creation of a local juvenile justice center “so our struggling youth can be held within the county near their families and mentored within our local justice system, community police offices, and legal community. Our youth are our most precious resource, and they benefit from care and instruction within our county.”

“Clarksville is rising,” Prichard said. “Join me in making sure we all rise together.”
