Linda Elois Batey, 71, of Clarksville, TN was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Spring Meadows Heath Care with her daughters by her side. Linda was born on June 11, 1951, in Clarksville, TN to the late Charles Morrison and Alberta Heflin Morrison.
Linda enjoyed her career as a hairdresser in Clarksville for over 40 years. She loved the outdoors, especially being on the water fishing with her late husband, Billy Batey who was the love of her life. Linda was lovingly known as “MawMaw” and took pride in taking on that role for everyone in her life. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her grandchildren and traveling with friends.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Tracy (Bryan) Tucker and Kasey (Erik) Anderson; grandchildren, Braxton R. Batey, Evan Anderson, and Aaron Tucker. As well as her “bonus daughter”, Michelle Anderson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Billy R. Batey; her granddaughter, Hailey Anderson; and siblings, Wendel Elaine “Wendy” Schwartz, Charles “Bubba” Morrison, and Phillip Morrison.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at McAdoo Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 3724 Ashland City Rd, Clarksville, Tn. Family will receive family and friends starting at 1:30 p.m. The service will begin at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Jimmy Edwards officiating.
Linda’s daughters would like to extend a special Thank You to all of the nurses and staff of Spring Meadows Health Care and Tennova Hospice for all of the love, care and special attention given to their sweet momma.
