A Celebration of Life service for Lillian Elizabeth Hatcher, age 98, of Clarksville, TN, will be Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY where she will lay to rest alongside her husband CSM Robert Hatcher (Ret). The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
Lillian was born on September 28, 1926, in Dickson County, TN to Sylvester and Lizzie Daniel. She passed away on October 27, 2024. Lillian was a loving mother, wife, and grandmother. She built a foundation of faith, family, and community for those that are left here to remember her. Lillian was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church where she was a part of the Mother’s Board. She also organized and belonged to many communities civic organizations such as the Phyllis Wheatley Art and Study Club and served as the President of the Zebra Wives Club while her husband was stationed in Germany and Ft. Campbell.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lillian is preceded in death by her children: Daniel Campbell, Faye Garnett, and Rita Webb and 7 siblings. She is survived by her sons: Robert (Karla) Hatcher, Jr. and Carlos C. Campbell; daughters, Denese Walker and Claudia (Kenneth) Adams; grandchildren: Jason, Logan, Alyssa, Greyson, Isaac, and Carlos Jr., and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and more loving family members.
