CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Lieutenant Philip Ashby was presented with a Partnership Award Friday December 13, by Tony Burnett, the Middle Tennessee Region Law Enforcement Liaison of the Governor’s Highway Safety Office (GHSO).
The award was given at the GHSO Press Event and Regional Meeting in Murfreesboro, TN. It was for the work of the Clarksville Police Department’s Traffic Unit in the June 28, 2013, Hands Across the Border Sobriety Checkpoint, and the Unit’s assistance to the T.H.P. and area law enforcement agencies in conducting Sobriety Checkpoints and D.U.I. enforcement.
Lieutenant Ashby has been the Commander of the Traffic/Parks Unit since 2011 and has been with the Police Department for over 22 years.
