CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Liberty Park has re-opened to the public following a storm related flooding.

City workers opened the gates and removed traffic cones that blocked access to walking trails and parking areas around 7:30 Sunday morning.

Trails around the pond remain underwater, though elevated paved trails are open.

Freedom Point, King’s Run Dog Park and docks at Clarksville Marina are also accessible.

McGregor Park on Riverside Drive was still closed as of 8:00 a.m. Sunday, though the water levels have gone down and benches, stairs and sidewalks are visible again.

Access to docks last the park are still blocked off.
