CLARKSVILLE, TN − LGBTQ+ Victory Fund – the only organization dedicated to electing LGBTQ+ people to public office – has endorsed Keymonta Epps for Clarksville City Council Ward 9. Epps would be the first male LGBTQ person to serve on the Clarksville City Council if he wins.

“Keymonta Epps has consistently demonstrated a dedication to public service and community engagement, making him an exemplary candidate for this endorsement. His platform focuses on critical issues such as community engagement, foster care support, and infrastructure improvements. These are issues that resonate deeply within both his constituency and the broader LGBTQ+ community. The Victory Fund’s backing is indicative of their confidence in Epps’ ability to effect meaningful change through action,” said Mayor Annise Parker, president and CEO of LGBTQ+ Victory Fund.

“This is such a big step for the LGBTQ+ community. We deserve to be represented in all forms of government. The hateful rhetoric we have gotten from current City Council members has been nothing but disgusting. To have this endorsement means so much for me and everyone in my community who feels isolated from our city,” Epps said.
