CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – LG Electronics will host its first informational event for LG’s brand new manufacturing facility on Wednesday, April 18 at 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The event will take place at The Wilma Rudolph Event Center, 1190 Cumberland Drive in Clarksville.
The event will provide information for all employee positions including line assemblers, press operators, paint line operators, maintenance, injection mold operators, leads, and other professional opportunities.
Organizers stressed that this is not a job fair, but an informational session for the general public about the positions available and more about LG as a company.
LG’s new Clarksville, Tennessee facility is expected to be the world’s most advanced production plant for washing machines. Since announcing the site location in February 2017, LG has accelerated the completion timeline to Fall 2018 and already has begun hiring for the project to meet growing demand for its laundry products – which earned customer satisfaction awards in every laundry segment from J.D. Power.
Starting in the fourth quarter of 2018, the factory will begin producing front and top-load washing machines. The facility will be able to produce a fully assembled washer every 10 seconds. The highly automated plant will allow LG to change between models in less than four minutes. Longer term, the 310-acre site offers the potential to expand for production of other home appliances.
Applicants can view current job opportunities and apply at www.lg.jobs and www.jobs4tn.gov.
Advanced registration is requested to participate in the free information event on April 18th and can be completed at www.lgclarksville.eventbrite.com.
