As a Christian, a conservative, and a Tennessean, I’ve been truly disappointed at the tone and negativity brought into this campaign for governor. For me, the tactics and records of the career insiders running for office have told me all I need to know about their values and their motivations for seeking office.
That’s why I’m endorsing and supporting Bill Lee. His candidacy is an unprecedented opportunity for Tennessee to unite behind a proven conservative leader for Governor. A businessman, a man of integrity, and someone who is truly one of us, not part of the political establishment. Bill isn’t running out of political ambition, he’s running to serve.
Bill is a man who serves Christ by serving others. He stood up for life as a supporter of Yes on 1, the constitutional amendment against abortion, he donates his time at a faith-based women’s health center, and he helps those earn a second chance serving through a men’s prison ministry.
Bill’s also a cattleman who lives in rural Tennessee, where he struggles with cell phone service and understands internet connection issues. Bill understands that rural Tennessee matters, and his commitment to supporting our rural communities is second-to-none.
Bill Lee has the values and proven executive experience to take our state from “good” to “great.” He is the right candidate at the right time, and I will be proud to call him my governor.
