For over 125 years, St. Bethlehem United Methodist Church has served Clarksville at the corner of Rossview & Old Russellville Pike. Our mission is simple:
“Calling and growing disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of our community.”
We continue to serve our community today by sponsoring the Fuel/Backpack program for St. Bethlehem Elementary children to make sure they have food over the weekend during the school year. We feed the community with “Ann’s Closet” (food pantry). We host the homeless in the winter time, we host Narcotics Anonymous, we host the girl scouts and cub scouts, we are an official polling place for the neighborhood, and we host Weight Watchers. We sponsor a FREE Community Block Party for the neighborhood annually.
We recognize the right of some neighbors to express their opinion; that is what the brave men and women at Ft. Campbell fight for every day. To respect the right of Free Speech, we hosted a 2 and half hour Listening Session for concerned neighbors last Thursday in our church. The purpose was to hear their concerns and to try to disseminate facts about this project. We are in the process of gathering the best information available concerning this issue so that our leadership can make an informed decision. We want to continue to serve our community and be a viable organization for Christ for the next 125 years.
Sincerely,
Bill Booth
