CLARKSVILLE, TN – Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands, Tennessee’s largest nonprofit law firm, will be holding an open house at its Clarksville office from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19.

The office, located at 109 S. Third St. in Clarksville, will be open to all members of the public. Attorneys from Legal Aid Society will be on hand to discuss the work they do to provide free legal assistance to low-income residents of Clarksville and the surrounding area.

During the open house, Legal Aid Society will honor the local partners, volunteers and community leaders who help ensure that every person, regardless of income, receives equal treatment under the law. Clarksville residents Ann Waddle and John Maher will be recognized for their exceptional leadership and commitment to expanding access to justice in the Clarksville community.

Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands advocates for fairness and justice under the law. The nonprofit law firm offers free civil legal representation and educational programs to help people in its region receive justice, protect their well-being and support opportunities to overcome poverty. It serves 48 counties from offices in Clarksville, Columbia, Cookeville, Gallatin, Murfreesboro, Nashville, Oak Ridge and Tullahoma. Legal Aid Society is funded in part by United Way.
