Lawrence Lamont Johnson,Sr., age 63 of Clarksville died Friday, November 22,2013 at Spring Meadow Nursing Home. The Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 27,2013 at First Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2013 with the family present from 6p.m. until 8p.m. at Foston Funeral Home.
He was born October 25, 1950 in Clarksville,TN to the late Vivian Poindexter Johnson Butts. He was a graduate of Burt High School Class of 1968. He is preceded in death by his sister Wanda Jackson.
He leaves to cherish his memory children Karen(Jerry) Maxey Atlanta,GA and Lawrence(Harp)Johnson,Jr Cobb, CA;sisters Susan Webster,Virginia Dowlen, Vanessa Hodge, Vealie Harrison all of Clarksville and Ethel(Paul) Blackwell Killeen,TX;brothers Lloyd(Loretta)Johnson,Michael(Reva) Johnson and Jonathan Johnson all of Clarksville and Davis Johnson Washington,DC and Peter(Yolanda) Butts Maryland and six grandchildren and one great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
