Update, 8:15 p.m.: The pursuit began when Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office deputies initiated a traffic stop on a car on North Ford and Chapel Streets at about 5 p.m. The vehicle did not stop for deputies, and they ceased their pursuit shortly after, according to MCSO Lt. Bishop Delaney.
The vehicle was located later on Whitfield Road. Deputies tried to stop the vehicle again but it fled. Deputies saw a gun being thrown out of the window during the pursuit. The gun was later recovered.
The Clarksville Police Department assisted in disabling the vehicle using spike strips, and it was stopped on Madison Street near Porters Bluff.
A juvenile male was taken into custody, Delaney said. He is being charged with Window Tint Violation, Theft of Property, Felony Evading, Tampering with Evidence, Possession of Burglary Tools, Due Care, Improper Display, Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia, Manufacturing Delivery Sales of SCH VI Drugs, Possession of firearm during a dangerous felony, and Driving on a Revoked License.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A law enforcement pursuit through downtown Clarksville Tuesday night ended with the successful use of spike strips.
At about 5:30 p.m., the vehicle was stopped at Porters Bluff Road and Madison Street, according to Clarksville Now news partner Dash 10 Media. The pursuit was initiated by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, with the Clarksville Police Department assisting.
Residents reported seeing eight or more patrol vehicles rushing down College Street, along North Franklin and Porters Bluff during the pursuit.
