Lavern “Skip” Lowe, age 76, of Clarksville, TN, died January 19, 2024, at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville. He was born February 7, 1947, in Brainerd, MN. He was the oldest of five siblings and survived by four: Michael, Alesia, and Shawn. Skip was preceded in death by his mother Jeanette, his father, Gilbert, his brother, Daniel, his wife, Ingrid, his son, Stefan, and grandson Crawford Lewis.
Skip is survived by his children Maik (Colleen) of Franklin, TN, Patricia Inbody (Marc) of Cosby, TN; Connie (Stephen) Sholders of Clarksville, TN. He is survived by 11 grandchildren – Raechel and Nathan Inbody, Doug and Jennifer Lowe, Sandi Lewis, Micah Sholders, Tessa Reynolds, Tara Furnas, Brandon Sather, Brittney Neagos, and Trevor Lowe. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
Skip was a proud veteran who served faithfully throughout his military career in the Army. He was deployed in Vietnam, where he served as a field medic. He retired as a Master Sergeant. He continued his life of service working for the State of Tennessee in public health administration in Nashville and Dover, TN for several years after he retired from the military. His hobbies included gardening, RV camping, and a love for cars.
A celebration of life service will be held in the Chapel of Neal Tarpley Parchman Funeral Home at 11:00 am on Friday, February 2, 2024.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
