A Celebration of Life service for Larry Eugene Stephenson, age 77 of Clarksville, will be Thursday, June 11, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home with Bro. Ken Andrews officiating. Burial will follow at Rye’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Larry passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2020, at his Residence. He was born on May 9, 1943, in Harnett County, NC to Joseph Ralph and Edna Griffin Stephenson. Larry was a veteran of the United States Army and a long-haul trucker who never met a stranger. He was a member of Gray’s Chapel Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed watching old western movies, listening to gospel music, grilling out, and Sudoku puzzles.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Thelma Christy Stephenson, and 6 siblings. He is survived by his sons, Danny (Linda) Stephenson and Joseph Stephenson; brother, Johnny Stephenson; grandchildren: Tylor Stephenson, Chelsy Stephenson, Robby Jones, Gavin Jones, Alex Jones, Emileigh Stephenson, and Rebecca Bryant; and great-granddaughter, Lilliana Stephenson.
