CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – You could say, this isn’t their first rodeo, and you would be right because the Kiwanis Club of Clarksville is hosting their 27th annual Kiwanis Rodeo Friday and Saturday, May 30 and 31. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. with the show starting at 7:00 p.m. each night at the Montgomery County 4-H Arena, 1921 Rossview Road.
You’ll see bull riding, team roping, barrel racing, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping and more. The Kiwanis Rodeo is a nationally-sanctioned Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) and Women’s Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA) event
There will be lots of vendors and food along with Kiwanis Rodeo t-shirts for sale. You can ride the mechanical bull and for the youngsters there’s a kids zone with inflatables and lots of other activities for children.
Kiwanis Club Rodeo Chairman, Steve Wilson talked about the event. “We have competitors from all over the country, from as far away as Washington State this year competing so it should be a great show. We have a family friendly event with events for the kids so bring out the entire family and enjoy a great rodeo,” Wilson said.
Tickets for the Kiwanis Rodeo are $15 in advance for adults, $20 at the gate. Children under 12 are $8 in advance and $15 at the gate. Advance tickets are on sale at all Beach Oil Markets, Legends Bank locations, and Papa Rock in Woodlawn. You’ll find advance tickets at 21 locations in all.
All proceeds from the rodeo help fund Kiwanis Club of Clarksville programs like Reading is Fundamental (RIF), the Children’s Christmas Party, F.U.E.L. program, Veterans Essay Contest and many local scholarships.
