CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Kiwanis Club of Clarksville held their annual Christmas Party for Kids Tuesday, December 10 at First Baptist Church downtown. Around 100 four and five-year-old children from the Head Start program received gifts provided by the Kiwanis Club and enjoyed a visit from Santa Claus.

Philip Tucker, Co-Chairman of the Christmas party said the Kiwanis Club has held the event for over 20 years. Tucker added that many volunteers from groups like the Key Clubs from area high schools, and from the local Head Start campuses help out each year with the party.

All of the presents for the kids are purchased through donations from Kiwanis Club members and also from money raised at Kiwanis events like their rodeo and pancake day. To learn more about the Kiwanis Club of Clarksville visit www.clarksvillekiwanis.org or call 931-320-1337.
