CLARKSVILLE, TN – The Northeast Middle School Eagles traveled to play the Kirkwood Middle School Cobras for their week 6 matchup on Sept. 23.

Kirkwood scored 16 points in the first half behind their powerful running game. However, Northeast Middle defense, coached by Bernard Gatson, came out strong in the second half and held Kirkwood Middle to only 6 points.

Northeast Middle managed to get in the endzone on a 30-yard run from Eli Cole, who finished with 130 yards on 13 carries. Another player from the Eagles, Brody Bessey, had two catches for 120 yards. Final score: Kirkwood Middle 22, Northeast Middle 6.
